“When you get your, ‘Who am I?‘, question right,
all of your, ‘What should I do?’ questions
tend to take care of themselves.”
-Richard Rohr, OFM
There’s no cure for being human.*
You're seeking some support through a transitional phase, getting ready to finish college, learning to “adult,” or preparing for marriage or parenthood. Or perhaps you’ve conquered a hurdle and need to process that experience and how it’s impacted your view of yourself and your life. You’re looking for enthusiastic cheerleading and gentle challenging. You’ve had enough homework in your life and aren’t looking for weekly worksheets.
My favorite clients are bright, young-ish adults asking tough questions about themselves and their world, seeking to find meaning, joy, and growth. If you are looking for a warm and collaborative space to process your emotions and maybe get some podcast recommendations along the way, we might be a good fit.
Oh, and if the phrase “Highly Sensitive Person” means something to you (or feels like it should), I’ve got you.
Along with emerging adulthood and adjustment difficulties, interest areas include interpersonal and/or romantic relationship issues, grief, gender and sexuality concerns, anxiety, and depression.
Client Concerns
Your individual needs inform my therapeutic interventions, which are grounded in feminist and relational-cultural theories. We’ll draw from an array of evidence-based techniques, including ACT, DBT, CBT, IFS, and other (often amusingly economically acronymized) frameworks. My goal is to create a space in which you feel safe, accepted, and empowered to sustain positive and fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.
In addition to individual therapy, I have experience with groups, career counseling, couples work, and crisis intervention.
At this time, my practice is fully online via HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing. This modality is not appropriate for everyone.
